The Scarborough Business Association respects the privacy of our staff, members, clients, volunteers, supporters and public stakeholders who provide personal information to us. We value the trust of our stakeholders and we commit to being clear, transparent and accountable when dealing with the information that you share with us.

In delivering our programs and services, we often gather and use personal information and will carefully protect this information and will obtain consent to utilize the information for any other purpose. What is Personal Information?

Staff and volunteers of the Scarborough Business Association are authorized to access personal information based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained.

  • at the time when major activities are undertaken to gather information (e.g. workshops, surveys, etc.).

Information Collection and Use

We collect, use and disclose personal information about you only for purposes that would be considered appropriate. For example, if you decide to apply for membership or complete a survey that you receive from us requesting your feedback, you may be asked to provide certain information such as your contact information (name, e-mail address and mailing address), gender, birth date,  business, industry and other pertinent information which would aid us in being able to service you better.

When you submit your personally identifiable information to the Scarborough Business Association, you are giving your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Event Photography

From time to time the Scarborough Business Association takes photos at events. These photos become the property of the SBA and may be used in a variety of ways, including the website, emails and newsletters marketing materials or in delivery of service. Online credit card and payment transactions

As a convenience to Members, The Scarborough Business Association accepts online credit card and payment company transactions through its secure server. The credit card information provided by users at our site is submitted directly to the third-party service identified on the website when making the transaction or to board staff for other methods of payment delivery. This information is not used for any other purpose.

 Password-protected services

The Scarborough Business Association website password system uses cookies.
